The most durable, fully customizable pool type available — shaped to any design, engineered for Bay Area clay soil.
Gunite — pneumatically projected concrete — is the construction method used in virtually every resort, hotel, and high-end residential pool.
Unlike vinyl liner or fiberglass pools, a gunite pool has no shape limitations. Kidney, geometric, freeform, lagoon, lap pool — if you can sketch it, we can build it. The steel-reinforced concrete shell is then plastered, tiled, and finished to your specification.
In the Bay Area specifically, gunite is the right choice. Our clay-heavy soil expands and contracts with moisture — a pool shell that can't flex or is improperly engineered will crack. We've been building gunite pools in this terrain 37 years.
Precision excavation using heavy machinery. Bay Area clay requires careful wall bracing.
Full rebar framework and plumbing installation before concrete application.
Pneumatically projected dry concrete mix creating a dense, uniform shell.
Waterline tile, coping stone, and final interior plaster finish complete the pool.
